M.J. Caro
Writer, creator, observer of small wonders
and stubborn human truths.
Writer, creator, observer of small wonders
and stubborn human truths.
I write and create across a few connected paths: children’s books about noticing the overlooked,
essays about living inside constraint without shrinking, and reflective videos for people whose
worlds may be smaller than their curiosity.
Across all of it, I’m interested in what we miss when we move too fast, label too quickly,
or mistake limitation for the whole story.

Professional Background
My professional path has included higher education, consulting, aviation, and the human systems that make organizations function. I’ve worked in community colleges, public universities, and PhD-granting institutions, including roles in registration, student affairs, admissions, enterprise systems consulting,
and change management.
I’m especially interested in how people navigate complexity: in institutions, in technology, in constraint, and in the thousand small decisions that shape a life.
About M.J.
Much of my recent work has grown from years of caregiving, from learning what it means to have a life shaped by responsibility, love, limitation, and stubborn curiosity. That experience sits underneath UNREDUCED, but it also informs the children’s books and videos: the attention to small things, the respect for overlooked worlds, and the belief that a constrained life can still contain wonder.
